Summer School 2018 ( Space & time in science & spiritual traditions )
Summer School-2018, was organised on 28th June-1st July ,2018, on the theme of Space and Time in Science and Spiritual traditions in the city of Knowledge, Varanasi in the beautiful campus of IIT-BHU, Varanasi.
The Summer School was attended by over 40 participants who in turn came from IITs, IISERs, BHU and many other elite institutions of the country.The wide range of themes and topics across gave the event its splendid aura and profoundness. The expert speakers from across the country kept the audience fully interactive and engrossed with their presentation styles and topics.
The chief guest of the School was Honorable Director of MNNIT, Allahabad, Prof.Rajeev Tripathi, Prof. B.N. Dwivedi,Professor in Department of Physics at IIT-BHU was the Guest of Honour who were present on the dais during the inaugural session. The other dignitaries on the dais were Prof. Prabhat Kumar Singh, HoD of Civil Engineering department, IIT-BHU, Sri K.Vasudeva Rao, President, Bhaktivedanta Institute,Kolkata, and Dr. Debashis Khan, Convener of Summer School,Associate professor at IIT-BHU,Varanasi.
Prominent researchers, academicians as well as spiritual leaders from India delivered about thirteen lectures on the following topics: Changing paradigms of Physics,The Concept of Time in Physics,Special Theory of Relativity,In the heart of Matter,Time Dimension: Explorations from Scientific & Philosophical Perspectives,Relativity and Quantum theories,Space in Mathematics, the Relativity of Time Perception – Neurological Perspectives,Space-time:Multidimensional & Interdimensional Overlapping – A Spiritual Perspective. The list also includes Students’ presentation During all these talks, interactions between the audience and the speakers were remarkably astounding.
At the end of summer school in the valedictory session, the participants shared their feedbacks such as :

Summer school organized a trip in Varanasi to Ganga Arati, Sri Vishwanath Temple and various important ghats and temples on the shore of River Ganges.
